Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

FBC Nursery Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Who will be caring for my child?

A: FBC Nursery always has two adults, or one adult and one youth caring for the children in the Nursery. This rotates on a weekly basis. Nursery workers will be wearing FBC name badges.

Q: What if my baby cries?

A: Some children become tearful when first dropped off by the parent. Most of them calm down and begin playing with the other children within minutes. If at any time a child cannot be consoled after 10 minutes the parents will be contacted via church usher.

Q: Will my baby get germs?

A: Wellness guidelines have been set by the FBC Nursery Leaders. Children or nursery staff having fever, green/yellow nasal discharge, excessive coughing, questionable rashes, diarrhea, vomiting, skin infections- impetigo, ringworm, pink-eye, or any communicable disease will not be permitted into the Nursery classroom.

Q: Will my child be safe?

A: FBC Nursery workers work very closely with the security team at FBC. We lock the Nursery Doors during class time. Nursery workers must pass a background check prior to volunteering. Children must be signed in and signed out by an adult guardian.

Q: What are the hours of operation for the Nursery

A: We are open during the 9:00 a.m. Sunday School and the 10:15 a.m. Worship time Sunday mornings. Children are expected to be picked up promptly after the service so that the workers can properly clean and sanitize the classroom.

Q: What if I want to bring my child with me to the Worship service?

A: Children are welcome in the sanctuary, however if your child begins to cry we ask that you take them into the foyer or bring them to the nursery for a calm down period before returning to the sanctuary.
