What is Judgement House?

Judgement House is a walk-through drama that depicts real-life decisions and the eternal consequences of those choices. The presentation is a “walk-through” drama which means that the audience walks from room to room to view the scenes of the drama. The tour does include stairs.

What are the Dates and Times of the Presentation?

First Baptist Church will present the 2026 script “Gone in a Flash” on Wednesday, October 21st (6 to 9 p.m.); Friday, October 23rd (6 to 9 p.m.); and Saturday, October 24th(6 to 9 p.m.) From the time a tour group begins to view the drama until they reach the decision-time room, the presentation will take about an hour. A new tour begins the drama every fifteen minutes.

How big are the tour groups? Would our group be divided into more than one tour?

To keep the tour groups moving and due to the size of the presentation rooms, we like to keep tour groups to 10 people in number. If your group is larger than 10 when you make your reservation, we will suggest that you divide into two or more tour groups that would begin the tour in consecutive fifteen-minute increments. What time should we arrive for our tour? What time would we expect to be finished?

If you made your reservation for 6 p.m. (for example) – you should plan to arrive on the campus of First Baptist Church and in our fellowship hall – ready to begin the registration process not later than 5:45. The 6 p.m. tour will begin viewing the drama at 6 p.m. and would arrive in the decision-time room around 7 p.m. Depending on decisions that are made, individuals would be finished around 7:15 p.m. and you would be ready to leave as all those within your party have finished in the decision room and/or visiting with a decision-time counselor.

What is the cost to see Judgement House? 

We do not charge, though donations are greatly appreciated to help offset costs.

Do we have to make reservations, and if so, when should we do so?

As mentioned previously, tours begin every fifteen to thirty minutes, and each tour group is limited in size. So, making a reservation gives you a definite check-in time and assures that you are in a specific tour group. If you do not make a reservation and simply show-up, we will work you into the next available tour group that will accommodate the number of individuals in your group. The odds of being split up increases if you do not register. With tours leaving every fifteen to thirty minutes, your wait could be a few minutes, or it could be a couple of hours, depending on how many reservations have been previously made. Reservations are strongly suggested. The reservation book will open on Wednesday, September 9th at 10 a.m. You will make reservations by calling the church office at 660-679-4124 or by filling out an online registration form here.

What should we do if we make a reservation and the number of those attending changes?

If you reserve for 10 (for example) and then realize that you are going to have 15 in attendance, that will impact your tour. Because tour sizes are limited, if we had already filled the remaining slots in your tour time, we may have to divide your group to accommodate the number of people attending. The sooner you know of changes to your group size, the better. Please notify us so that we can attempt to make the necessary accommodations. As you are reserving your tour time, it may be beneficial to reserve for the largest number that you would expect to bring. It is easier for us to make a reservation smaller (after the fact) and fill those spots than to have a tour that is over full with no openings in tours to accommodate those individuals. We may not be able to make accommodations during the tour nights and those not signed up may be asked to sit out.

Is the drama appropriate for children? Is childcare available?

We suggest that children under the age of 8 not walk through the drama. There are intense situations in a couple of scenes that a child under the age of 8 may not be ready to witness or understand. We do not have childcare available.

Where will our group wait before the tour?

Your group will begin in the fellowship hall of our basement. We will have light snacks and drinks available while you are waiting.
